House rules
The house rules
So that everyone enjoys a safe, elegant night with no pressure, it is worth reading them before you come.
1. Respect and consent
It's the golden rule, and every other one comes from it.
- “No means no”. If someone says no, out loud or with their body language, insisting is completely out of the question. A “no, thank you” is always met with a smile and respect.
- Always ask. Never touch, join a bed or get physical with other people or couples without their explicit consent first.
- No pressure. Everyone sets their own limits and their own pace. Coming just to have a drink at the bar, chat or watch is perfectly fine. Nobody has to take part in anything they don't want to.
- Treat other people the way you'd like to be treated. People here aren't things or objects, and that's all there is to it.
- Don't get into anything you don't fancy. This is about having a good time, not about living up to anyone's expectations. If something doesn't appeal to you, just say so.
2. Privacy and discretion
- No cameras. Taking photos or filming video anywhere in the club is strictly forbidden.
- No phones. Using your phone inside the club is not allowed.
- Confidentiality. What happens at El Escondite stays at El Escondite. Complete discretion about who comes to the club is a must.
3. Dress code
We're after an elegant, sensual atmosphere, and what you wear is part of it.
- For the girls: clothes that make you feel attractive, sexy and comfortable — dresses, skirts, tops, pretty lingerie, heels.
- For the guys: smart long trousers or neat jeans are a must, plus a shirt, polo or smart T-shirt, and closed street shoes.
- Strictly not allowed: sportswear, tracksuits, trainers, shorts (with the very occasional exception for smart shorts in high summer), swimwear and flip-flops.
- Go on, dare. It's the perfect night to break out that lingerie or that dress you've been eyeing up for ages. Nobody here is going to judge you: quite the opposite.
4. Hygiene and behaviour
- Impeccable hygiene. Spotless personal hygiene is essential, out of respect for everyone else here. And if you need them, there are showers at the club.
- Good manners. We're all for seduction and connection, but always with courtesy and good manners.
- Drink responsibly. We want people to have fun, but we don't tolerate disruptive, aggressive or out-of-place behaviour brought on by too much alcohol. Taking or carrying illegal drugs is forbidden.
- No drinks from outside. You can't bring drinks into the club from outside.
5. Play areas
- Safe sex. We strongly recommend using condoms: looking after yourself is looking after everyone else in the house too. And so there are no excuses, we keep them at the bar: ask and we'll give them to you, free.
- Look after the space. Help us keep the club in perfect shape: use the bins for waste (condoms, wipes) and leave the place exactly as you'd like to find it.
6. Admission policy
- Couples and single women. They have absolute priority and normally don't need to book ahead: you can just come along within our opening hours. For specific parties or special events we'll ask you to confirm attendance in advance and, in some cases, pay up front.
- Single men. Booking ahead on WhatsApp is essential. Places are very limited and depend on the balance of couples and women on the night, so that everyone feels comfortable.
- Right of admission. Management reserves the right to refuse admission and to ask anyone to leave, so that the atmosphere stays the way it should be.
- Dress, hygiene and the state you arrive in. We don't let anyone in dressed inappropriately, lacking hygiene, or turning up with obvious signs of having drunk too much or taken something.
- Capacity and private events. If we're at full capacity or there's a private event that night, you can't get into the club.
7. Personal belongings
- We'll look after anything valuable. If you bring something important, hand it to us when you arrive and we'll keep it safe behind the bar. It costs nothing and it's the safest option.
- Coats go to the cloakroom. You hand it over on the way in and we keep it safe. It's included too.
- The locker is for your things. That's where you leave your clothes, and inside you'll find towels and disposable slippers waiting.
- Lost property. The club isn't responsible for personal belongings lost on the premises. That's why we insist: anything important goes to the bar.
Any questions?
If anything is unclear, ask us before you come. It is easier to sort out on WhatsApp than at the door.
